If you know someone who wants to house sit or rent a room, apartment, etc for a period of time they should send the Webmaster details (location, dates, length of time) and their Contact Information.

If you have such a place available immediately, look at the web page and see if you find a match.

If you have a room or guest house available and you know that you will be home while the guest ispresent, it is ok to send me the details for posting.

But if you are planning to be away, and no match is posted on the web site, you probably should not “advertise” that you will NOT be home.

Experienced House Sitter Available

I am a Canadian snowbird who fell in love with Rodeo and the area, the moment I drove Hwy 80 the first time, seven years ago. I have not ventured elsewhere since. In Canada, I farm/house sit at least six times a year. My regular live charges include meat birds, laying hens and their roosters, ducks and rabbits however, I have also cared for goats, pigs and horses. I am an avid gardener. The property I care for most often is that of a small organic farm which includes a vegetable garden, greenhouse and orchard (and small farm animals).

Dates are flexible; longer stays welcome. I am available until May 2016 and again in the fall (emailkgschafflik@shaw.cafor more info)?I will happily care for your critters and property with much TLC and have two well-behaved dogs that are my constant companions, ie. they must also be welcome. References available. Please phone or text to Karin at 520-366-7592. I look forward to hearing from you!

We will be in Portal for most of the month of November. If you need a house sitter for any of that time, please call or email us
